The Home Energy Survey Professional (HESP) certification will qualify you to conduct a walk-through assessment of the general energy performance problems and make basic recommendations for improvements or further analysis.


An EnergySmart Contractor is credentialed to work in concert with certified auditors to complete energy-saving improvement work on a RESNET EnergySmart Home Performance Team in compliance with RESNET’s work scope standards of practice.  Once qualified, the contractor is eligible for a company profile on the RESNET website. The company can proudly display the RESNET EnergySmart logo in their marketing materials and link their website to the RESNET EnergySmart promo video that explains to consumers the value of choosing an EnergySmart Contractor.
